Default Prevent name abbreviating from Consolidate Clip?

I haven't seen this happen before, but Pro Tools is suddenly abbreviating the resulting clip names when I perform Consolidate Clips.

My track names are relatively long, but they have always been like this, and the clip names have always matched the track names perfectly after the command.

Is there a way to get back the old auto-naming behavior?

Not that I'm aware of - I don't think there's anything in Preferences at least. I haven't noticed this behavior but I'll check it out.

This still happens to me sometimes, like today. I guess my track names are quite long, but consolidating clips isn't supposed to name the new clips as abbreviations of the track names, right?

If anyone stumbles here with the same problem, here's some stuff I've worked out:

I don't know what triggers this bug, but when it does happen, the quick fix is to reduce the session folder's name to under 32 characters.

My sessions are usually housed on an external drive. I'm able to copy the session folder as-is (maintaining a long folder name) to my desktop and the problem also goes away in this case.
