Anyone try 2+ PCI exp chassis's?

Perhaps the only way around the PCI bandwidth issues regarding 6042 errors may be to use two chassis's...one bus master fed chassis for Digi cards...another bus master fed chassis for multiple vid cards / SCSI / Vid Capture etc.?

I wondered about this too. In fact, if it would work, the fantasy box would be one 4U chassis with two PCI busses inside.

Would it work?

Sounds like this would cause more 6042 errors than prevent them but you never know.

perhaps if the external cabs were in parallel ?
CPU slot 0 - exp cab 1
CPU slot 1 - exp cab 2

or maybe serial

CPU slot 0 - exp cab 1 - slot 0 on exp - exp cab 2


it's supposed to work according to Magma... I would probably bet PT would be the limiting factor.
