Api lunch Box in to Carbon.

Hi I just hooked up my new carbon interface
Using the api 512 c’s in a lunch box
From the api’s I went from xlr to 1/4 inch in on the back of the carbon.
My question is do I need to configure the carbon any diff to disable the carbon mic pre’s? Or any thing else?
I have looked for this info and could not find it anywhere.

Yes, from the lunchbox to the Carbon, you should use the jack inputs. TRS (i.e. balanced) is preferred to TS (i.e. unbalanced). You cannot use the XLR's for line-level input, only the jacks (or the DB-25).
You can leave the line-levels as variable input gain, or change them in the Carbon setup page to fixed (shown in post#4 in the thread above).
