Do you mean on a 5.1 track?

yes, for instance, a C1 on a LCRS track, when you open it, even if the channels are linked, it automatically opens showing "L"(left) . it would be very convenient to have it show "C" center.

For instance, with dialog re-mixing; Getting my settings going, I need to view the center to see how things are reacting, like with a C6. It always opens with Left view. very annoying.

Workaround/Feature :
select Plugin
select "C" center
new window configuration, label as "Dialog Plugins" (or something)

- works with Pro Tools own Multi-Mono-Plugins
- I use that to set up all relevant Plugins/Faders for dialog mixing (eg. all 3 faders of the 3 dialog tracks next to each other in the edit window, next to the dialog bus fader, next to the RMS meter on the dialog bus, etc)
