Playback Settings will not change

I am working on a mix on a laptop connected to a TV screen. The playback engine defaults to the HDMI output no matter what I do. I am trying to use the computer audio with headphones. I have set it to the computer audio and restarted, run as administrator, hit N on startup. It will let me select computer speakers then when it opens it has changed back to the HDMI output. It doesn't matter what I set my computer audio to. ProTools takes over the HDMI no matter what I do. This is beyond frustrating. I use ASIO with an Audiobox 96 for recording but it is not connected.

Not nearly enough info for anyone to understand what's going on. Win/mac, OS/PT versions, ASIO4All?

Quick fix would be to plug your headphones into the TV.

I'm running it on a Windows machine. I have AISO4all installed but it only appears as an option when I have my audiobox connected. I have updated all of my Avid software. It only happens when I have an HDMI monitor connected. It ill allow me to select computer speakers but reverts back to HDMI audio out when it restarts.
