Default Is there a way to paste only within a clip region without overshooting it?

Trying to tab to transient while adding some snare verb effects. I copied the snare track so that I could tab to transient and paste the verb I want each time, the issue I'm having is that the verb clip is sometimes going past where I want and pasting over the next transient.

Hope that makes sense. Looking for a way to make Pro Tools ONLY paste within a clip's region if I separate it at selection and paste.

I only know the Mac command.
Opt+Cmd+V will paste only within a highlighted edit selection. If the edit selection is shorter than the copied clip, Pro Tools will truncate the copied audio to fit only the selected space.
If the selection is longer than the copied clip, Pro Tools will fill the selection with the copied material using cross fades to blend.

Might be Alt+Windows+V on a Windows machine

Hmm, pasting a clip of reverb the way you describe would cut off the end of the reverb trail. If the pasted clip overlaps, its easy to use the trim tool to pull the edge back. Having said this, why are you doing snare reverb in this fashion? Use an AUX send to feed an AUX track with a reverb plugin on the AUX track

Well, that’s one way to do it but that wasn’t the OP’s original question. 99 ways to skin a cat or 60 ways to leave a lover.

All true, but as JayB has 10 posts, I figure there's a good chance he is new to DAW recording and is maybe trying to do something "the hard way"
