Default A few simple questions

I'm about to buy a Digi001, but i have a few questions about this little beast.

1. Instead of buying monitors for the Digi001 could i run the outs into the AUX on Aiwi home theater system and do it thatway?

2. My computer (PC) has an extra 30 gig hardrive, cd burner, 700 mhz athlon, and 512 RAM....will this be stable?

3. What kind of plugins comes with the 5.1 PT software?, they any good?

4. Should i get a Compressor/limiter to plug instruments into and than plug that into the digi001?

thanks so much guys!.

-Travis

Travis, you can monitor through anything you want. I would suggest you contact the product information hot line listed on this site. They are very helpful and I always get through quickly.

Your gonna also want to go to the compatibility page on this site. 512 ram is cool. Your 700 mhz Athlon sound fine, but your gonna want to check the speed of your extra hard drive. You can always go SCSI if you need to. Your system sounds fine.

You can use any of the plug in effects to record to tape or just on mix. Your choice. It's one of the easiest recording sysems I've ever used. Analog or digi. Hope that helps somewhat. MAKE SURE YOUR SYSTEM IS RIGHT IF YOUR USING A PC.

Yes you can plug the system into the aux of your stereo. This provides the advantage of mixing on a device which most listeners will be using, this means if you a/b your mix to other cd's and they sound similar youll be in the ball park.
Good luck!
