In Pro Tools of course, as per your request. Hit record in PT and away you go. Your using Reaper like an external hardware synth in this manner. Think of it like that and you should be good to go.

What part of it isn't working? The Track template here is all setup and ready to go.

Unfortunately, I can't find that 6 year old template anymore. There's this courtesy of DonaldM, and also this courtesy of spenner. Hope that helps.

How are you all. I downloaded reaper to check out some microtuning synths on PT8/windows 7. When I open the synths on Raper as a stand alone, my midi keyboard triggers them without issues -activating the realtek digital port as well as the maudio fast track pro sound card. However, when I use reaper within protools, the virtual instruments in protools are triggered but the ones riding on reaper do not respond to the midi input. Shan seems to be the reaper expert, but I will take all advice. If anyone can help, Id appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Did you watch the videos posted above? I'm pretty sure you'll find your answer in the vids. If not, make a separate post with the exact problem detailed and we'll have a look.
