Default buffer error

i have a gateway 7426gx laptop with amd athlon 64 2.4ghz with 1.5gig ram. a glyph gt-050 firewire drive and a digi 002r. i have the laptop and the 002 running into the 2 firewire ports on the glyph drive. i disabled network card and enabled dma like manual said. i am getting audio device underflowed errors. this is with 9 tracks with 2 total plugs. a reverb and a limiter i have tried the playback at 256, 512, and 1024. anybody have any idea why?

You should start with the steps in the Win XP/ Pro Tools 6.x General Troubleshooting thread and post specific info on your system per the info on that thread if you're unable to resolve the problem.

Same problems on my Asus with 2.5 GB of RAM and an AMD 3000+. I can't work at all right now. I get about 6 seconds of recording and poof, buffer underrun. Still waiting on digi tech support.
