Default Anyone able to successfully run Carbon on 2020/21 Monterrey MacBook Pro?

I am using a Belkin USB-C to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter to connect the PT Carbon to a 2021 16" 2021 MacBook Pro with Monterey.

The computer does not recognize the Carbon at all in Network Device Browser... is it the OS or the adapter?

Hoping it is the latter... is anyone running PT Ultimate / Carbon into new M1 MacBook with Monterey successfully?

Unfortunately, I was told incorrectly by the kind folks at Apple that you can downgrade to Big Sur ... this is not true.

thanks

Not all USB C to Ethernet adapters are AVB compliant. I suggest you purchase a Apple Branded Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter and a Thunderbolt 2 to Ethernet adapter Connect the two together and you'll be good. This is what Avid recommends for all macOS users who have a Thunderbolt 3 usb c port (this what all Hackintosh users with Thunderbolt 3 usb c ports need as well).

To better help here's the link for Carbon requirements.

I hope this helps.

Also PT is not qualified with macOS 12 yet. I've heard it will work but most of Avids plugins will not work or install. If you can downgrade to Big Sur, you'll be good.

No system specs, no detail, how are we supposed to help?

Yes, it is possible to run Carbon on an M1 Max or Pro under Monterey. No, you cannot downgrade an M1 Max/Pro to Big Sur but you can run Big Sur on an M1 MBP (the 13" one).

You need to use the Avid qualified adaptors, as pointed out by abc1mce2.

There are several threads here about alternatives and regarding Avid's advice. If you want to cut to the chase - just use the Avid recommended Apple TB3->TB2 into an Apple TB2 -> Ethernet.

Avid Complete Bundle doesn't work under Monterey, and several other things are sketchy, but Carbon works.
