once the host app. is carbonized. can you run non-osx plug-ins inside of it?
i'm not looking to jump to osx for a while.. but was wondering if you have a program, say, logic, for instance, can you run that in osx if the 3rd party plugins are not "optimised"?
forgive my ignorance. |

You can do that if you run in the classic mode.

Re: once the host app. is carbonized. can you run non-osx plug-ins inside of it?
There is nothing preventing an OS X application from loading plugins that currently run in OS 9.
But it's my gut feeling (although I've never seen the RTAS plugin API) that most plugins would at least make some direct system calls to do the UI stuff, and so they would at least need to be linked against "CarbonLib" to make this work. So my gut feeling (again) is that moving PT to OS X will involve upgrading incompatible plugins also. |

Davedog,
Can you run PT LE in Classic mode? I have failed so far trying to do this. |
