System buffer settings messing up delay compensation
Last night I was in a session on Pro Tools 8 cs2 on and when I pulled up the song, the guitars were late. I had sysem buffers set at 2048(?) & each time I lowered the buffer sttings, the track got closer to being in sync. I finally put them at 512 & was able to track a violin without getting screwed up.
Anyone know why the buffer settings would pull something out of sync. Delay compensation was on & set to Long. I checked the track & it had Eleven as a plugin & showed 4012 as the amount of delay. |

Re: System buffer settings messing up delay compensation
Was it possibly tracked while monitoring through a master fader that had plug-ins on it?

Re: System buffer settings messing up delay compensation
Yes, is that a no no?
What is strange is that the track gets closer to being in sync as I lower the buffer setting. It has never happened to me before & I have always had plugins on the master track. |
