Why does Avid recommend that you disable WiFi to use Pro Tools?
http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/en_US/Troubleshooting/Optimize-10-12
"If your computer is equipped with Bluetooth wireless and/or a Wi-Fi (AirPort) card, these may need to be disabled for Pro Tools to work correctly. In addition to freeing up system resources, disabling these can help resolve DAE errors -6085, -6086 and -6101." Does Pro Tools seriously have a problem working when WiFi is enabled? |

Re: Why does Avid recommend that you disable WiFi to use Pro Tools?
It's not really a "problem" so much as a preventative measure. It's simply one of several steps that can help to minimize the many variables of system resources being redirected in the background and possibly interrupting a recording.
Nothing more than that, really.

Re: Why does Avid recommend that you disable WiFi to use Pro Tools?
I believe the wifi drivers can cause significant dpc latency issues with recording.

Been using Protools for over a decade, I've never disabled my wifi.

Re: Why does Avid recommend that you disable WiFi to use Pro Tools?
With a well-tweaked powerful computer, this is likely not to be an issue. On a borderline system, every advantage you give yourself is a good thing
