Default deleting unused fade files

hey there,

i searched all the internet to find an answer to my question, but i didn't. so here i go:

is there any quick posibility to delete all unused FADE-FILES only, but not ALL unused files in a PT8 session? i know, mostly we're talking about disk space. but in my case, i'm concerned about the number of files!
i'm just saving all my sessions to a second drive and suddenly i have fade file folders with 5.000 to 15.000 files in it! this takes hours of copying even though it's only about 100mb disc space all together...

anyone out there who could help?
thanks, and enjoy today!
all the best,

daniel

Just don't copy the fade files folder, or delete the fade files folder. Next time you open the session PT will give the option to automatically regenerate the missing fades, leaving you with only the fades that are used in your session in a new fade files folder.

Wouldn't "Save Session Copy" take care of this for you? If you select Audio Files, it shouldn't copy unused fade files but it will copy unused audio files that are in your region list.

"Save Session Copy" is also a great option. It's what I use to make sessions for delivery to other studios. I mostly do my backups without the fade files.
