I have had one for a couple of weeks, it works great. They list a Samson part # for a rack but the screw holes match a generic Middle Atlantic rack I had sitting around here. I use a custom-cut countertop in my workstation and have it mounted in the backsplash panel (for those of you that understand Home Depot-eese).

I'm using the balanced I/O and I don't hear any additional noise, distortion, or coloration versus going directly from 24 bit analog out of Pro Tools into the amp.

The only feature I wish it had would be a separate cue input so that I could have separate control and headphone mixes.

Also, I've seen pictures of it in adds with a mono switch, but the picture on the web site doesn't show that. I've emailed Samson about this (a couple of weeks ago) and they haven't responded. It looks like it could be a pretty cool thing, I must say.

Just got it today and just finished messin' around with it. WOW. Bang for the friggin' buck. To clarify: it does have a mono switch. Very odd that the homepage photo does not have it. More odd that they have no specs posted. Most of the Ins are balanced. Only the Mon A out is balanced, Mon B is RCA. I still can't get over the price....

Hey Guys,

I was just wondering if its rack mountable like a lot of the stuff is that is half rack width. The Samson website is very vague on any details of their products. I’d also love to see pictures of the connections on the back of the unit. Maybe someone that has it could send me an email with a picture of it in their rig.

Thanks

We just got a few at our place. They're cheap ($95 street) and balanced. Pretty much all you want out of a control room matrix. You can even run your rig without a console if you want. Only problem is that source input shows up at all outputs, including Talk to Cue. Since we do a lot of ISDN work, we had to chain two together to overcome ISDN delay problems. Works awesome.

P.
