Weird session issue...can't mute/solo any tracks

Updated to the latest version of 2021. I have a session that I wanted to use my midi controller with. So I added it in the peripherals list. Not sure if it's related but the issue started almost immediately after. So one track was stuck in SOLO. The session would playback fine...I just couldn't get that track out of SOLO. So I attempted to revert to a previously saved backup and I get slammed with a whole host of errors. Reopen the current session....disable the track that is stuck in SOLO and the full session plays but I still can't solo or mute any tracks in the session. Has anyone else had this happen? Any ideas what might be causing it?

Update....just checked another Session. It's ALL of my sessions. I can't solo or mute any tracks.

I uninstalled and then reinstalled. Seems to have fixed the issue. Did not try enabling the midi controller again (older axiom 25) if anyone is wondering. Not sure how or why that would break my software. The weird thing...is the controller worked fine.

I had a similar thing a couple of times recently; clicking buttons with mouse/pointer had no effect. A restart fixed it. I somehow have a feeling that it had to do with accidentally setting a usb input device preference of some sort. Or a stuck modification key or something like that.

This sounds like the bug I was experiencing. Restart did not fix it though. Not sure what could have been causing it. Complete reinstall did the trick but it's super annoying not knowing.
