Default S3 Clip Gain Control

Hi guys

When a client hands me a track and I start my gain staging I prefer clip gain over the use of the trim plugin.

Is there a way to control clip gain from the S3 ?

I know I could insert trim plugins and then use the S3 to control trim but I would much rather use the clip gain feature.

As I type this I have just thought I can do it on the artist transport but I still hope it can be done on the S3 or implemented

Hey Norrie,

There isn't a way to edit clip gain on S3 at this time. Cool feature idea though!

Hey Kyle !

Is there a possibility of it being implemented and is there a place us S3 owners can put in feature requests like this ?

I can't comment on new features, but please post this request and any others in the S3 feature request section at http://protools.ideascale.com.

Thanks!

You have also an transport, right? On the "shift page" of the number block there is the clip gain command for your wheel (if you didn't change the default softkeys mapping). I guess on number 9(or maybe 7 or 8). You can adjust then the clip gain for the selected region pretty precise with the wheel.

Oh yes I have the transport and it can be done but I think it would be better just for a example if we could put it in a clip gain mode and change clip gain with the faders or with the knobs would make for far quicker work flow than using the transport and be using a real fader to do it.
