Noise bursts and clicks when opening session

Hi everyone,

I am experiencing some really strange things with my Pro Tools system. When Pro Tools is already running and I open a different session occasionally maximum level noise occurs when the 'Original disk allocation can not be used...' dialog window appears. I m really worried about my speakers. The noise continues until the session is fully loaded. In other cases an unpleasant 'click' occurs when opening a different session.
Mmmm, the session I opened was created on an older G5 with PT LE 7.3.1cs5...

Has anyone the same problem?

On Digi's webpage I found a MBox firmware update to fix simular problems, but it is for the original MBox only...

My setup:

MacBook Pro 2.16GHz Intel Core Duo
2 GB RAM
OS X 10.4.9
Pro Tools LE 7.3.1cs5
MBox 2 mini
external hard drive (FW 800)

I haven't had any problems with noise bursts until tonight actually. Well when I had my mbox I experienced occasionally. But yeah, tonight I was switching between sessions and a very loud burst of white noise, and it scared the living crap out of me because I had headphones on instead of my monitors. I'm not sure exactly what causes it unfortunately, but you aren't alone!
