Default Question about installing 11.0.2 SOLVED

I currently run PT 11.0.1 and PT 10.3.6 and want to install the 11.0.2 update. Avid recommends I uninstall PT 11 prior to installing the update, and that 11.0.2 is a "Full Installer".

Am I correct to assume I need to uninstall everything related to Pro Tools in my Windows uninstall program (including the virtual instruments & plugins)?

Will the 11.0.2 update also include PT 10?

Thank you!

Edit, I did a further search and found my answer.

I continued to search other threads and learned that inspite of Avid's direction to uninstall previous versions, it is apparently not necessary. So I installed the update over the existing PT 11.

You should uninstall 11.0.1 first. The 11.0.2 is a full installer. When I tried installing 11.0.2 without uninstalling all it did was update 11.0.1, but missed out the installation of TC/E and probably some other things as well. A clean install is the way to go.

Two ways to uninstall. One is to drag the app to the trash. The other is to uninstall using the dmg (if u r Mac).

Ok, tried going the recommended route of uninstalling 11.01 which kept giving me Elastic Audio errors. After reading this thread I reinstalled 11.0 and then installed 11.02 over that which worked.......sort of. It only takes 8 plus minutes for 11.02 to boot up. WASUP W'DAT??????? Not sure what to try now.......any suggestions?

I mentioned that the very first boot takes always longer than all others after that because PT reconfigures at first boot (i guess).
