I'm trying to help a client with a new Mac Studio get his HD Native and Octo units working. May I ask what adapter(s) you used?

Update: Nevermind, it looks like Apple is the only game in town. Ridiculously overpriced, as usual.

Just do what almost everybody does and use an Apple Thunderbolt 3 to 2 adapter.

Try to protect stuff so the damn things don't unplug... all these stupid connectors should have been designed with a positive lock.

I have an Ultra and it's incredible. As long as you don't have squirrely plugins everything is miraculous. I'm noticing the PluginAlliance Shadow Hills compressors seem to make the Ultra get funny about buffer size. Other than that it's quite fantastic - no buffer issues. I have NVMes in Sonnet Echo Dual docks. One for VI's and one for sessions. I'd been told I didn't need it for sessions but... it works just fine.
The biggest session I did was around 150 tracks. It didn't sweat. Did a session with maybe thirty or more VI's and no sweat.
I also think having the extra T-Bolt ports that comes with the Ultra is a very good thing. I'm using five right now.
I think you'll be glad you bought it!
