Default Re: Re-sizing Memory Location Window

This has been an issue for a long time - still can't re-size the Memory Locations window in PT 2022.7 - is there no way to log this seemingly simple bug fix?

Until Avid revamps this window, we have all just learned to live with it. For music folks, its generally not an issue(combined with personalized abbreviated names). Post mixers have it the worst. For myself, I keep the names super-short, like V1(verse 1), V2(verse 2), PreC(pre chorus), C1(chorus 1), etc. I have suggested to Avid that they add multiple marker lanes(with colors), but am still waiting.

Posting this again since in the recent releases of PT (now on 2022.12.0) I still can't resize the memory location window to be able to see more of the name.

This may seem like a silly request, and it's been an issue for years---those of your who suffer from it know what I mean.

The problem is that, as many game sound designers do, I have many individual sounds in a single session---often well over 50. They are all organized with Markers that have the sound's filename as their name. The window is limited to 19 characters so a series of sounds that begin with sfx_foley_lightsaber_ will show up like this in the Memory Location window:

sfx_foley_lightsabe
sfx_foley_lightsabe
sfx_foley_lightsabe
sfx_foley_lightsabe
sfx_foley_lightsabe
sfx_foley_lightsabe
sfx_foley_lightsabe
sfx_foley_lightsabe

Does anyone know who can help solve this issue? My contacts at Digi/Avid have all moved on... and I know nothing is trivial but this sure seems like a trivial fix.

Any suggestion would be appreciated - we gotta get this fixed.

Happy New Year all!

I would start using abbreviations. Foley might just be the letter f and lightsaber could be ltsbr. If you need to send the session to another engineer, you could include a simple text file with notes on abbreviations.
