Default Pro Tools 11.3.1 not playing nice with RME Totalmix

I've had no problems with PT 11 and it's updates until this one.

Here's the problem: When I am recording and using RME's Totalmix for cue mix level setting, when I go back and forth between the Totalmix interface and PT 11.3.1, PT 11.3.1 stops responding for awhile.

I have no idea why it is suddenly happening with this update after having no previous problems. So, if anybody is kind enough to share their thoughts I'd appreciate it. Gonna have to roll back to 11.2.1 if I can't fix this.

Thanks to anybody with thoughts/advice/experience.

Have you trashed your PT preferences? Also do you have the latest RME drivers, and Total Mix?
I use PTHD 11.3.1 with total mix with a madi face and it works fine, I'm on a Mac ,but I don't know why you'd have problems, It did get buggy for me once but making sure I had the latest RME drivers did the trick
Cheers
