No Playback Sound

Hi There.

I just recieved a new Mbox 2 for christmas, and am having problems with playing back audio. I am using a MacbookPro, 2ghz Intel Core Duo with 2gigs of RAM.

When I open up the ProTools demo session that comes with the software, I can't hear any audio playing back through my laptops internal speakers. The moniter in the software shows that audio is being played (the levels are active) but I'm hearing no audio of any sort. It isn't my computer either, as audio functions fine in Itunes or other programs.

I am wondering why I am unable to hear any audio playing back from the laptops internal speakers? Is it possible to do this, or do I have to connect external speakers or headphones to the Mbox to hear audio playback?

I was thinking it would be a hardware setup preference or something along those lines, but have found nothing to help me out as of yet.

You cannot ouput through the laptop's speakers, only from the Mbox outputs, or the Mbox headphone output jack.
