don't find the option to hear midi notes when editing

Hi, I don't find the option to hear the midi notes when I select and move them in midi editor or in note view. this was default at the older version. but now i don't hear the notes when I move them.
can anyone help me? :)

do you have an instrument selected? no instrument selected, no sound!

You have to create at least one Instrument Track or MIDI Track in your Session for the "Play MIDI Notes when Editing" control to be displayed in the Edit Window Toolbar.

Hmmmm, on my rig, it just works, and has for years. Having said that, I do have a stereo instrument track with a piano plugin in my test session and I can't find "Play Midi Notes When Editing" anywhere in any menu. But I do remember that used to be an option years ago(I haven't looked for it in years as its always working here). Maybe you can post a screen capture showing where you find it?

I'm still on 2019, but "Play MIDI Notes When Editing" is a tiny green speaker icon at the top of the MIDI edit window.

thank you, that was i am looking for. i am working over 20 years with protools and know all the special tricks, but sometimes I am blind to the simplest things. :)

thanks for screen shot, 2020 version and up discharged play midi notes in the attached midi editor, and now its only left at the top of the main editing screen or when you opened detached midi editor
