Default protools crashing when adding midi track

I just got the digi003 with PT7.3. Running on a mac osx10.4.10... I have been trying to setup the midi portion of my studio to it and nothing is working. I have a Korg N1 that I am trying to connect via midi.. When I create a midi track, protools crashes. I'm not sure if my AMS is setup correctly or not. Any suggestions on how to make this work? Any help would be greatly appreciated. THanks...
