Default Waves Release Butch Vig Vocals Plug-in

Today Waves have released the Butch Vig vocal plug-in and for a limited period the price will be $99 instead on the normal $150.

This what what Waves say about the plug-in..

Widely considered among the most influential rock producers of recent decades, Butch Vig helped spawn an entirely new rock genre. From Nirvana and Smashing Pumpkins to Foo Fighters, Green Day and his own band Garbage, Butch Vig has contributed his signature sound to some of the most legendary albums of the modern rock era.

Designed for those looking for a creative approach to shaping vocals, Butch Vig Vocals features intuitive EQ controls, a compressor and a de-esser, and several tools for coloring your sound in numerous shades, including Tube and Solid State saturation, a unique Focus knob, and other inspiring features, all carefully crafted by Butch himself to help you realize your vocal vision.

No DSP no deal.

I'm not giving you $99 even I've the cash I'd rather invest on Slate Digital,McDsp,Fabfilter.

Do you still remember how YOU ditched TDM Bundle's customers.
I might think about it if it's $9.9

SoundGrid version is on the way!

From the plugins main page - SoundGrid version coming in a few weeks... no cost upgrade for all owners.

The current version does not yet support the eMotion ST mixer, MultiRack, StudioRack, and SoundGrid processing. A version supporting all of the above will be released in the coming weeks and will be available as a free download to anyone who purchased the current version of the plugin.

People sleep or don't want to use these signature plugins for whatever reasons but they have a few gems. The Manny series is excellent with the modelled quad eight eq, the reverb w/ Bricasti IRs, and the delay. The CLA Guitars is good too. Those two get used a lot in the rooms at my job.

They're getting more generous to the Mercury users again. Just keep doing that and maybe some of us/them will jump in your DigiGrid train.

Man, that user interface is awful. He must have been smoking some pretty heavy crack when Waves let him design it. I don't care how great it sounds, I won't use something that looks so messed up.

$99 is kind of pricey.

Most of the signature bundles can be bought for $99 to $149 when one sale.

There's supposed to be other Butch Vig plugins right?

I remember when plugins were $750 and more for one plugin. If $99 is too much to pay, I can see why Waves is going hardware DSP route. UA will never be native.

Def a little overboard on the steampunk with the GUI.

The Manny M plugs are great, and especially because he took the opposite tack of trying to be a complete vocal, drum, or guitar processing plug or whatever. I think Waves must feel they can sell those kind better. But I did learn a lot digging through the processes built into the CLA Series plugs especially.
