Default How to transfer iLok licenses from old to new iLok

I have an older green mbox iLok with my Pro Tools 10 license on it. The pins from the usb connector to the board are coming loose and I can only get it working some of the time. Right now it is working and I can open Pro Tools, but I need to get the license onto my new iLok before the old one completely dies.

The iLok website says: "You can try to move licenses from the broken iLok back to your account or to another iLok when both iLoks are registered to your account. If your iLok connector is loose or broken and you can get the iLok to connect only some of the time, you should not try to move more than one license at a time."

I can not find any way in the new iLok license manager program that allows this. Both iLoks are plugged in and registered to my account. If I try to deactivate a license from the old iLok I get an error message that says "An unexpected error occurred."

The new method of moving licenses is drag and drop. You just drag the license you want to move from the main window on the right to the iLok you want it to move it to in the left hand pane.

At least that's how it worked for me.

And if you have a problem with that method, you can try just having one iLok connected, and dragging the license to your account at the top left.

Then remove the old iLok, insert the new iLok, and drag the license from your account to that iLok.

You no longer have to only move a license from an iLok to an iLok, you can store it on your account. It's a little scary, because it says "you are about to deactivate a license", but you are simply removing the license activation from the iLok and moving it to your account.

Just wondering, when you are trying to deactivate a license, what method are you using? The buttons on the top right, file menu, right click, or drag and drop?

Also are you doing this from the Account view or are you choosing an iLok first, and then choosing the license?

In my experience, it works better to choose the iLok first and then the license. Instead of looking at all your license from your account and trying to activate/deactivate a license.

I don't know why, but I can reliably reproduce this problem at least with the Active button.
