midi cut and paste question
Hey all,
I am stumped on what I thought might be a simple thing to do, but sadly I can't figure it out and have no luck searching the forums as well. Here goes, I am working on some midi drum tracks, and at times I would like to be able to cut a couple measures of say the kick drum from one clip and paste just that kick drum pattern in to a different clip that already has the snare and other drums all ready. The problem is when I paste the kick in to the clip I have set up it erases all of the other midi notes in that clip like the snare, hats, toms.... Is it possible to just paste selected notes from one midi clip to another midi clip without it over riding and erasing the notes that are already in the destination clip? If so how. Thank you very much. Carl |

Re: midi cut and paste question
hi carl,
it's possible. under edit go to paste special and click merge (option + m). this will paste your copied notes without deleting existing. |
