Pt8 upgrade, 003 compatibility & multiple ?????s

I just posted a thread regarding my latest crisis with my PT7LE/ Mac setup. I am wondering how PT8 is working out for you guys overall? I was hoping that maybe upgrading from 7.3 to 8 might erase some of my problems. I just don`t know.

Another thing I am wondering is if my 003 board is compatible with any other software such as Cubas or Logic, or is it only functional with PT?


I logged on to the Digidesign web page yesterday to see about buying the PT8 upgrade, and when I was prompted to log in to my account via the saved username and password in my Mac, I was told the sccount did not exist. It is true I haven`t logged in for a long time, but I would think it should still be valid. Due to my divorce, I no longer have access to my registration code, even though I still have my original disc and my I-lok. Will I have difficulty purchasing and loading the PT8 upgrade? If so, what do I need to do to be re-registered? Any advice from you users or Digi personell would be greatly appreciated. thanks, GM

I just bought my 003 rack about a month ago having switched from being a long time Cakewalk/Sonar customer. The system came with 7 with a free upgrade to 8 and I must say that 8 has been great for me so far.

The codes are all on your account so you probably need to get access to that so that when you upgrade everything is available to you.

Call customer service and explain the situation.. If you get your "My Digi" account working you shouldn't have trouble buying the code for v8.
