Default Frontier Designs\' Alphatrack

Here's an update on Alphatrack's fader-release lag issue, as posted by Frontier Designs on the Alphatrack forum:

Quote:
Hello EGS and other,

First, thanks to everyone who has reported to us on this issue, and to those who have beta-tested the update that addresses this.

In some AlphaTrack units, the "fader untouch" MIDI message is not reported for a few hundred milliseconds after you remove your finger from the fader cap. This affects some people who are trying to do quick "touch automation" updates in their DAW with the AlphaTrack. We have worked on this in-house and with several beta testers, all of whom have reported that this update resolves this issue for them.

Unfortunately, updating units cannot be done in the field, but we are committed to making this update as easy as possible for our users. If this issue is present on your unit and affects your work, please contact us directly so we can work with you to get your unit updated. The best way to reach us about this issue is to call Brian at 603-448-6283 x107. Alternatively you can send him e-mail at "[email protected]"

We appreciate your support and feedback, and will continue to make AlphaTrack the best compact controller available.

CS

Default Re: Frontier Designs\' Alphatrack

quote from the Frontier Designs forum:
"The magic serial number is ATK07020000. Many units with earlier serial numbers than this exhibit this issue, but none from this serial number and upwards do."
