Default direct recording , line 6 or direct box?

hi

ive been trying to get good guitar sounds while going direct with my digitech guitar pedals, it really doesnt work very well.
What would you guys recomend, but a line 6 POD, or should I get a direct box to conect next to my digitech pedals?
Are there any other options for me for direct recording? i only have around $200 to spend.

thanks for your coments and help.

I run a POD straight into my 002 and it works great.

I'd go for a Pod. I was in awe when I got mine. I have had one since 2.0 was released many years ago.

Before I got one-
I had read that it sounded good but could never believe that any box could sound so good. Well, I tried one one day and ended up taking one home. I was VERY impressed. At the time I owned 2 Mesa Boogies and 3 various Marshall tube amps as well as a couple of old Fender tube amps. It's worth the bux.
