Upgrading to 8.0 question...
I just replaced the HD in my G5, New install of Leopard.
The system requirements are kinda sketchy, Do I have to install 7.4 before I install 8.0? If so, Crap! |

Re: Upgrading to 8.0 question...
I am pretty sure you don't. I installed Leopard and then uninstalled My Pro Tools 7.4. Then I installed Pro Tools 8 and it worked great! So I doubt you need to install Pro Tools 7.4 first.

Re: Upgrading to 8.0 question...
No you do not. I went from 7.2 to 8.0. Works great however my g5 seems to be running a tad slower than normal.
Also Sessions i was running in 7.2 that opened fine have trouble opening with all my plugs and tracks sometimes, Its not any compatibility they just simply come up grayed out and i have to change them to RTAS. Its crazy how they worked before on 7.2 and now wont open properly on 8.0. Just on larger sessions where i was almost maxed out. Anybody else have this issue?
