Default Sounds strange...

So, as I posted below, I got a brand new Digi 002 rack yesterday, along with lots of -6085 errors... But my problem is somehow different to what I had first figured : I just ran the Davec test and achieved 30 tracks on PT 6.1, which is correct without being excellent I guess.

Now my problem is about buffers : I can't run anything (reason, live, pro tools, etc...) under 512 samples of buffer length, whether playing or recording, 16 bits/44 kHz or 24/96 ! My configuration :

Motherboard : ASUS P4PE with Firewire onboard
PIV 2,53 GHz
1 Mo RAM 266 MHz
Adaptec Ultra 160N SCSI controller
2 dedicated SCSI drives running 10.000 rpm (IBM and Maxtor)
Digi 002 rack
Pro Tools 6.1

I have already tried the Intel Application Accelerator and the Ultra ATA to dual IDE thing...

Please, I'd like to know if this is normal or if there's a workaround.

Yankow

I suggest looking back a few days in this forum. There was a thread called "002 first impressions" or something similar. And there have been others. And all of them cover little issues that have risen. I'm sure if you read those that you'd be able to pinpoint your problem better...or give someone here a better handle on it.

I have the 001 myself and although I have several ideas, my guess is that they wouldn't apply to the 002/6.1. Sorry. Allan or Rail Out should be around soon, though. Good luck.

I saw in your other thread that Phil came by with a can of WD-40 and some duck tape.

If it can't be fixed with Duc tape, it can't be fixed.
