Default Blue marquee on track name tabs

After installing a Waves bundle, Autotune, and a number of plugins for SoundForge, my system would not start PTLE, saying the hardware was not installed or was in use by another program.

i did some DUC searching and found that i probably had overwritten the proper wave driver or Audio Media III driver, so I removed the Digi from my device manger and restarted. thought the instructions had said to manually remove files in the c:\ directory, i couldn't find any of them.

Upon restarting, my Dell somehow found the driver upon startup without asking me to show a location for the file.

PTLE starts up fine, (i had to enter my serial number again) and seems to be working fine now, HOWEVER, alot of my tracks have this BLUE OUTLINE around the tab where the track name goes.

It doesn't seem to be causing an issue, but regardless is driving me crazy.

Anybody know what this is? And while I'm at it, did I go about the driver issue properly?

thanks
sean.

Oh, and the blue box also surrounds any insert tab, even after i've removed the insert.

I'm serious! Am I going crazy or did these blue marquees always exist? Any takers?

blue marquees means the channel is selected to be controlled with your control-surface like the jlcooper cs-10 . If you dont have a control-surface....perhaps you accidently assigned one...

Thank you so much!

Yes, apparently, the MIDI control option was creating the blue boxes around all my track tabs.

I dont use MIDI -- ever -- so I could't imagine what was going on there.

Thanks again. Nobody seemed to have an answer for this one.

Sean.
