Folder Maintenance
Can Sessions be moved to other folders? I'm used to PCs, being able to right click and cut a file then paste it in another folder. I can't seem to do that.
My problem is this: I have a folder titled PT Sessions. When I create a session, a sub-folder is created and the actuall session is in that folder. So the trail looks something like: PT Sessions(folder)-->Song 1(sub-folder)-->Song 1, Song 1 fade files, Song 1 audio files. But when I save copy or save as, the new session is listed WITH session sub-folders, not IN the sub-folder with the original session, fade/audio files ect. This is beginning to create a mess, so I'd like to get all copies IN their respective session sub-folders and not sitting out WITH the session sub-folders, so that it looks like this: PT Sessions(folder)-->Song 1(sub-folder)-->Song 1(session), Copy of Song 1(session), Copy2 of Song 1(session), fade files, audio files instead of: PT Sessions(folder)-->Song 1(sub-folder), Copy of Song 1(actual session), Copy2 of Song 1(actual session)-->fade files, audio files Am I doing something wrong or is it common to have to move copies of sessions? Sorry for the drawn out illustration. I want to make sure any potential advisors understood my problem and goal.

Re: Folder Maintenance
Bezo,
Yes you can..just create a new folder in the Finder and drag your session into the new folder, then drag the newly named folder into the apprpriate hard drive. I used to have the similar problems with "sub folders." I found the best way to eliminate this is... OK, say your in a session, and you want to close the session, pop close session, then pop on New session. When the new session box pops on make sure that the 1st thing you do is...on the top of the box, the pop-up will have your last session's name on it. you have to first pick the hard drive that you want the session on, then create a folder and hit save at the bottom. This will automatically start a new session with it's own folder. and you won't have the session domino effect anymore. grooy cool hip kenny
