Default cubase and digi001 Hardware

Hello to all,

I would need some help on this topic: i would like to use cubase with the Digi001 HW and i would like to have the exact process to do that.

I've tried to put the Digidesign Direct I/O sound driver and the Digisystem Init file into the ASIO Driver Directory of Cubase, put it seems that they are not recognized. Is it that i'm using the wrong files? To check that i've been on the Steinberg website and downloaded the ASIO driver for Direct I/O that was there, but when i try to install it, i get a message saying that the drivers are already installed on my Macintosh !

Ok so if someone could explain to me the process precisely, that is to say what file to use (what are their exact location on the folders ...) that would be very helful to me!!

Thanks a lot for your help.

Jerome

Default Re: cubase and digi001 Hardware

The init file goes into the extension folder(there should be one there already if your running a 001).The direct i/o goes in your aiso folder. You open cubase and open audio/systems/audio setup/select direct i/o from the aiso select field.
As long as you have placed the d/io in your aiso folder it should show up as a choice in your audio setup in cubase.
Cubase and Protools have a long history of co operation. In fact if you are using a leagal version of cubase there are protools aiso and extensions on your install C.D
Hopes this helps.
