Can anyone recommend some good alternatives to streambox?
Thanks in advance.

If you are using it for client Mix reviews...
We use "Sohonet Clearview Flex". It works flawlessly !
It can stream Stereo or 5.1.
Picture looks great and it's in sync!

I used "Everdcast" previously and there are many issues.
Client comment on how smooth Flex is.
We run a Zoom session at the same time so we can communicate
and see each other.

It cost about 40% more than Evercast but it works 100% better!

Here is a link:

If you need to talk to someone PM me. I will be happy to explain
the process and how to make it work optimally .

Interesting to see someone else's opinion on Evercast. Did a job on it recently and was amazed at how poor it was - a review with only dropped frames occurring was the mark of a good session! A usual session would be sound out of sync, picture freezes galore & pixelation.

I've seen Evercast work okay, and not so okay. More on the not so okay side though.
I believe there is a newer setup that is suppose to be a lot better, but I haven't experienced it.

IT seems that disabling or turning off video helps the bandwidth, but I've still watched it drop audio every minute.
I've seen some drift before then corrects, but never out of sync.

It is probably best if external clients are hardwired to their router as their wifi connection might not be strong enough for an audio video stream.

Pac Post Live is much better, but haven't heard about Marty's solution though. Looks interesting.

FYI: "Sohonet Flex" only works on "Google Chrome". It does not work on Safari or Firefox. If you want to stream 5.1 you need Apple TV and a free Apple App to download.

I think all of them require a Chromium extension. Google obviously, but I think Brave and Opera might work if you don't want the Chrome bloat wear.

The browser just needs to be able to run chromium.

+1 to Clearview Flex being flawless.

I've had some success with Source Elements Source Live LL, however nothing can match the quality, stability, and low latency of Clearview Flex. The cost is a major barrier to entry for many as it's almost as much as my rent.

Here is what I found:
By having "Clearview Flex" I no longer have clients coming to
"The Dub Stage". I now don't have to park their cars or feed them.
This means you can be located anywhere and it becomes a convenience
for them. They don't have to leave their edit bays, production offices and drive. You can stream to them anytime they want the playback to be. "Clearview Flex" enabled me to work during Covid and still deliver my shows on time. It has changed the way we work. When you add up the costs vs the benefits it is a bargain!

Yep. Finding that the EPs and channel execs prefer not having to drive in from Santa Monica or elsewhere.

Really seems the only time for the on location stage is internal PB with pic editors and Post producers.

Finding that doing ADR remotely as well is equally as beneficial as long as it isn't just zoom.
Session Link Pro has work excellent and the picture editors can jump on for the 1 or 2 lines they really want to direct and less redoing ADR for the performance they hear in their head.

I think this will eventually become the new normal. Editors are working almost exclusively remotely and I know some supervisors who live on the east coast who are supervising remotely.

Will be interesting to see if the lots are going to start pushing for on campus things again.
