Hard Drive Not Recordable Volume
Upgrade was sent to LE 6.9 from 6.4 for my OSX TIger but when I tried to record last night it kept warning me that "Hardrive not a recordable volume." It then automatically opens up to my choices and when I click on the alternate drive, close out, and try again...same warning. Do I have to do anything after I click on the drive and before I close out of it? Is there a drag down command such as "Activate drive", etc..? I am on the verge of de-installing and starting over so as to re-initialize the disc but wanted to ask around first.
Please help! Jim |

Re: Hard Drive Not Recordable Volume
You need to be running version 6.9.2 for Tiger.

Re: Hard Drive Not Recordable Volume
I was getting that error too. It was after I got 6.92 and Tiger...

Re: Hard Drive Not Recordable Volume
To fix the "No Recordable Volume" error, you need to start ProTools then go to "Window" and "Show Workspace." Then click to make sure the A and V settings on your hard drive is set to "R"

Re: Hard Drive Not Recordable Volume
Also make sure to repair permissions on your primary OS drive after installing new software or updates.

RAYUSA, Thanks!
You had it nailed Ray. My settings were on transfer. I came so close to trashing it all and re-installing and, thank God, I went back for one more look at the replies.
THANKS! Jim |
