Default Problem recalling flat EQ in plugin

Hello,

We are using a Digidesign Venue Profile console and are having some trouble recalling an EQ plugin with flat settings. Here is what we are experiencing:

Create EQ for a scene and store to library/snapshot
Create EQ with flat settings and store to library/snapshot
Recall first library/snapshot, proper EQ is recalled
Recall second library/snapshot, the EQ is not flattened, there is no change.

This has happened with the Waves Renaissance EQ 4 band plugin as well as Waves EQ 4 band.

If I recall correctly, the same plug-in did/does the same thing in ProTools. I've read a thread or two in the ProTools forums, but not sure if there is a solution. Odd that it would happen in the venue as well.

Hi there.

Sounds like one or both of these things is happening.

1. Be sure that you have added that specific plugin to each snapshot you want to recall. (While the snapshot is loaded, navigate to the plugin page, and clicking the "S" button in the lower right-hand corner of the EQ plugin, and choose "add plugin to selected snapshot" or something like that.)

AND...

2. On the main snapshots page, make sure "PLUG-INS" is scoped for each snapshot.

Or, what Ken said. I do now recall reading about that as well.

This has always been my experience as well. But you have to do both!

The plugin is added to the snapshots and is in scope for them. Any other ideas?

I would talk to Waves. Their support is supposed to be pretty good.

You could also try a different EQ plugin.

Killing time waiting for the delivery of a grand piano, and I can't recreate the issue. I made two snapshots, one with the Ren EQ flat and the other modified. Switching between the two works every time for me.

We are on D-Show 2.8.6.247, and I'm on the latest Waves V8 install.

We've got an email in to Waves but their D-Show specialist was not in today.

Thanks for trying to recreate the problem, our rental shop supplied us with Waves V5, and we are on D-Show 2.8 as well, so we are pretty sure that is part of the problem.
