crash when interrupting bounce to disk

hi,
i'm getting an annoying crash as of the 7.1cs6 update. if i interrupt
bounce-to-disk, i frequently get a VERIFY crash in Rewire.dll (c990).
anybody else sense this .. or is this a wipe, re-install, rinse, lather
repeat situation?

ps: i'm not rewiring to anything ...
