How is that E-MU E-64 working out for you frantik? Must be a bit of work converting .wav to native format, no?

I just got it recently and haven't really gotten to put it through its paces... I was planning mostly on sampling from the machine's inputs, though in the future i'd love to get the SCSI interface going

So what does E-64 offer that say software or other hardware sampler counterparts do not?

I bought it mostly for the "90's emu sound".. emu and akai samplers were very popular among drum and bass musicians during the 90s, and I'd like to add a bit of that flavor to my beats. The 6400 is one of the most capable samplers from that era.

i picked the classic over the ultra because supposedly it's got more "gritty" DA converters and is a bit cheaper than the ultra. One thing I'm kicking myself over is the fact the Ultra supports DOS compatible FAT while the classic only supports its own proprietary disk formats.

Ahhh... good stuff frantik. Did you notice Phil Jackson didn't mention to set the Page number or say to Page Up when E Group is full whilst in Learn Mode?

I admit i haven't gotten that deep into custom mapping yet.. I've actually been more interested in learning how to hack hypercontrol I'm working on something to enable at least rudimentary hypercontrol features for FL Studio.

Hey, sorry to hijack this thread, but I was wondering if you've made any progress on programming a version of hypercontrol for FL Studio as you mentioned here. I just ordered an Axiom Pro and immediately realized Hypercontrol doesn't work with FL Studio :P so it would be a real lifesaver if you managed to get it working.
