exciter plugin for protools le ?

hello everybody,
i'm looking for an exciter plugin, that i can use in protools 7 le.
just can't find it, anybody knows some ?
i just come back home after some time with logic 7 to the protools family, but there's just
this little plugin in logic that i really like to use !

i not familiar with any rtas exciters for PTLE--BBE makes a VST one, and you can use a RTAS-VST wrap like FXPansion VST to RTAS Plug In Wrapper

things like Sony's Oxford Transient Modulator or Inflator can do some things "like" exciters, but not really the same thing--personnaly, I avoid exciters like Aphex & BBE--i think they fool your ears

that's a good point chrisk23, to use a vst wrapper. i haven't thought of that route !
i shall check it out.

waves tap delay , there is a pre made setup of this plug that is an emulator of an vocal exciter and it sounds very good

what do you mean "fool your ears"?

either you hear it, and like it...........or you don't.

or Does the exciter intercept the signal between your ears and brain and insert some tricky codes before you decide?

Try the demo of the sony inflator.....its very good!

Also another way to get definition on a vocal without a exciter is try this plug in order:
1.Desser
2 eq with highs added (and maybe a 2k-4k bump too), a HPF maybe around 180hz +/-
3.compressor w/fast attack, med release @ 2:1-4:1
4.Desser #2
5. Waves Ren Vox compressor

you have to have all the plugins open to watch the push/pull of the signal flow to get the balance right, also to adjust the crossover point on the desser's (that is dependent on the singer's sound and tone)

but serious, i don't want to use it on vocals but on percussion.
i do a lot of latin mixing and i did develop a sort of working method with
the use of exciters in logic. it's just not the same with eq.
i haven't find a good plugin 'till now, so i'll keep on searching..
