export files as...? not that!
Hi,
I'm a newbie using PTFree on an iBook. I'm importing files from a cd and making karaoke versions (flip & eq) of a couple songs, and they sound great when I play back directly from the pt session. However, I want to export the session as a stereo interleaved file w/o vocals, and can't seem to do it. I've named the files identically with .L/.R tags and the export files function SEEMS to work, but when I play the stereo .AIFF files back in iTunes, the vocals are right back in the mix! What am I missing? Thanks for any help, Kaleb [email protected] |

Re: export files as...? not that!
You need to do a bounce-to-disk if you want to capture your real-time FX. The only way you could export, and keep the FX is if you used all Audiosuite plugs (the destructive ones). That would take more time & space than bouncing though if you wanted to keep all your original files.
When you bounce, use a master fader with the dither plug-in on the last insert. Make sure you're not clipping the master meters. |

Thank you!
Mixing jargon is still a new language to me, and I wasn't clear on what "bouncing" was. The directions worked perfectly. Thanks again for the help! k |
