Default Click Track - so simple I'm missing something

Newbie... Click track driving me crazy... keys and mic working beautifully - I can record, playback, etc... but I can't figure out how to get the click. I am not seeing any activity in the Mix Window at all. I followed the help page through Pro Tools and still nothing.

Running HP Envy w/Win7
Focusrite Scarlett 8i6
Pro Tools 10

thank you...R

Go to the menu bar and click on track. Select click track at the bottom of the drop down menu.

You should now have a click track.

Hi and thanks for your reply. I did that and I absolutely have a click track. Problem is, there is no click sound or no click showing up on the mix meter either. It's a PT plug in so, I shouldn't have to set anything up, but since it's not working, there must be something I am missing.

I have a check mark next to Click, I have done everything that was said in the help area on PT site, I'm at a loss...R

Do you have it enabled in the transport window?

Tick on Play and Record so you can control it at anytime from numerical 7. There's also a preference to create a click track with every new session. Sometimes, those don't work. The click is actually an aux track, not an instrument.

VERY IMPORTANT!!! The problem is with PT 10.0.0!!!! Had to uninstall and reinstallt the newest update which is 10.3 - if you don't have it, go get it, there were a number of issues fixed from what I have been told. Thanks to everyone who responded to try to help me! Check out my music! www.robind.com
