Session info dissapearing
AGAIN:
I have posted this before, but to no avail. Sometimes in PTNT 5.01, on an IBM Intellistation, on approved drives, I will open a session, and all the audio files will be there, but no tracks will open, and no session information is avalible. Looks like I created a new session with no tracks. All session information dissapears. I am able to import all the audio, but it lays it to one new track per audio file, yeilding 100 or more tracks sometimes, and still no session info. Just a bunch of audio cuts starting at the head of the session. What is this, and why is it happening? It shows up about 2 times a month, on various machines. Digi support seems stumped, and has not been able to provide any answers. It is nerve racking to say the least. Anybody seen this, or am I just lucky? THE SOLUTION: Some had luck moving the session reel to the desktop, and running the session from there, and then re-saving the session. Had the problem today, and no luck. Digi...What is this problem? Is if fixed in 5.1? Is there a patch? still very concerned. Thanks, Kelly L.

Hi Kelly. Honestly, we've never seen this behavior come up and, besides your reports, have not had other users call us about it or report it. Of course that doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
I was part of the Windows 5.1 TDM develpment team. All though testing we saw abosolutly no behavior like it. I hesitate to say it's fixed but....... In order to track down an elusive bug like that we have to be able to reproduce it. We can start by having you send us a copy of the session (document) that will no longer come up correctly.
