Grabber Tool Won't Grab, Can't Trim Unwanted Audio

In my recently acquired PT Digi 002/G5 system, my grabber tool has suddenly started not grabbing. Regardless of the mode, the tool makes the little pointing finger and will do nothing but insert a breakpoint. Also, I am unable to delete/cut unwanted audio at the beginning or end of the region. The select tool will highlight, for example, the audio I want to keep. But when I try to trim to the region, the beginning I don't want will be removed, but nothing past the end of the most recent take will be removed. Selecting and attempting to delete or cut does not work.

Is this a preferences reset issue? Thanks in advance for any suggestions--I don't see this mentioned anywhere in the documentatioon.

If the grabber tool is creating break points, then you're viewing some sort of automation and not the audio region. Switch your track view back to "Waveform" and you'll be able to edit again.

Thmhks, Slim Shady! You solved my problem. I switched to volume from wavelength a few days ago to monitor a wolftone in my acoustic guitar & never switched back. Thanks once again!
