Crossfade shortcut launches search window
In PTLE7, one of the keyboard shortcuts I use most, for creating a default-shaped crossfade in the selected area (Ctl+Start+F), sometimes makes the fade, and sometimes launches an XP "Search Results - Computers" window instead. I can't figure out what I'm doing differently. I've very carefully pressed the keys one by one, both Ctl first and Start first, but I can't predict when it will make the crossfade and when it will take me out of PT and launch the search window. PTLE6 never did this. The only change I made to my setup was to upgrade the PT software and plug-ins. I'm running WinXP Home.
Other than that, I'm extremely impressed with this upgrade. It responds better, and it even seems to sound better, although that might be my imagination. Anyway, I love it, and I love my new plug-ins, but the intermittent nature of the effects of the crossfade shortcut are driving me crazy, not to mention costing me time. I spend 8 hrs a day editing radio material, so I need to solve it quick. David J. Finnamore www.elvenminstrel.com
