Default Recommendations on a decent external talkback mic?

Seeking recommendations on a decent and inexpensive microphone for use as an outboard talkback mic. The one in the board had a heavy noise floor and is picking up on the clocking or something in the board. Something goosenecky and that has a decent amount of gain and with decent pickup say as far as 10 feet away. Phantom power is available.
Suggestions?

well if u want it to pick up the whole control room how about a Crown PZM on teh cieling?
and if u did this you would want one of the ones that are like 250 bucks because they
don't need battiers like the cheaper ones

Thank you for the reply -- and thanks for the tip on Central Station.

While that products interests me for an entirely seperate purpose -- what I am hoping to find a secific recommendation on an outboard mic -- not an entire outboard solution.

We already have the board, which thankfully accepts an outboard mic for talkback-- which then we can route for slating -- talking back, etc. For example the Audio Technica Pro 11 looked good in the catalog, but in practice it is not great unless you have the gain cranked and you are about 6 inches or less from it. Looking for something better than that.
