Default Send session messed up

Hello. I have a session that was previously recorded and basic mixed on the same system I have, but by another engineer. I am the final mixer and producer and have started setting up my mix. I am having some issues with preferences I assume. My playline does not scroll with the song and when I do play the Stop button on the Edit screen transport is lit up and the play button flashes. The system preferences should have never of been changed and as I said the session was worked on previously by this engineer on the same gear. How can I fix these issues? Thanks!

It sounds like the Edit Window Scrolling has changed, and that you've somehow entered Prime For Playback. I find neither of these as Preference options (LE 8.0.5).

Scrolling = Options>Edit Window Scrolling>Page. This menu item can be set as part of a Template. I'm not sure if it "sticks" at the last choice or is restored by opening another session. In any case, the fix is to reselect the behavior you want.

Prime For Playback can be initiated with Ctrl+Spacebar, or Option+Click on the Transport Record button. In my tests on LE 8.0.5, using this shortcut or the click will invoke flashing buttons you describe, but only once. I did not find a Preference to enable or disable this. You may need to research this one further.
