Default Turn Off or Leave On

Hello Avid,

I use Pro Tools Carbon for everything pretty much. However, I see that my Komplete Kontrol S49 keeps resetting audio interfaces. Should I leave it on? Or does it only power up by clicking the power button?

Rey,

This is a user forum, so although Avid employees drop in from time to time, if you need to ask them a question directly, you need to raise a support case.

I don't understand why your NI S49 would make your audio interface reset. Are you sure that's what's happening? And why would leaving Carbon on or off make a difference?

The Carbon is built to be on. So you can leave it on. No one builds consumer or professional audio interfaces that can't be left on 24/7.
The only questions are whether you want to burn the electricity and whether you want to have the fan noise continuously. If it's easier, leave it on. If it's easier, turn it off. It really doesn't matter.
